People are scared that the babies and the over population will get out of control, the resources will diminish and disappear. With the government encouraging having kids, they have to build more house, which means they have to cut down trees, lakes, and rivers are gonna start disappearing. They have to focus more on the people they have now then focus on how many people they will have.

The author is very concerned about the population growth in Israel. For example, Israel's fertility rate is higher than other Western countries and which puts it on an unsustainable path. Sense fertility is growing, which means families are growing and more houses are being built. The effect of house being built causes less forests/environment in Israel. There are already endangered animals in Israel because their environments are getting destroyed from the growth of Israel's growth population. While the author is trying to slow down the population in Israel, there are some people who contradict. These people contradict because the number of people moving to Israel roughly equals the number leaving. That means that Israel can keep its open-door policy.

Alexis and Kirsten,
Great input stating the concern over limited resources and problems with sustainability. Stress builds up fast in an area like Israel with limited land space, hostile neighbors, and clustered cities. It is a very concerning article. Thanks for sharing.

The author is very concerned about the rapid population growth. In the country of Israel they have the same amount of people leaving and coming which is not the problem. The problem is the high fertility rate is higher than any other western country. The reason for this was the government encouraged larger families and put obstacles in the way to stop abortion and things that would stop people from having more kids. Israels government tried to bring back the Jewish population after the holocaust with great success. The problem is now there's way too high of a population. They have to keep building more houses and neighborhoods tearing down trees and destroying wildlife. Many species are endangered. People disagree with the authors view point because they think that because they have the same amount of people coming and going the population is fine which is wrong.

The author form the article is very concerned with the population growth because he says that the environmental problems that are being caused are because of the country's populations growth. Also that the country will never be able to control greenhouse gases, maintain minimal levels in the rivers or streams, or protect fragile habitats. He is also concerned that the poverty in the country will never get reduced because of the expansion. All though many others living in Israel would contradict overpopulation being a problem. This is because people in Israel consider it a patriotic duty to have large families, so it doesn't bother them because they see it as a good thing. Israel's population trend of Jews having more family will cause the number of population to grow throughout the years.

Israels population has grown rapidly which is causing unemployment, limited resources like food and water. They are going to have a problem with sustainability. Since their fertility rate is higher than Western countries. Since they became a pro-natalist country they have been more concerned with overpopulation. The author seems to fear that the resources they have now will disappear because they need most of it now to sustain the population that keeps on growing. They are worried they won't have enough room or resources to help sustain this population that is rapidly increasing.

The author is concerned for the environment because if the population growth. The overpopulation causes there to be less forests for more houses. This effects the environment because the already endangered species are getting even less of their habitat that they need in order to survive. People disagree with the authors viewpoint because statistically they have the same amount of people entering the country as they do leaving.

In this article the author is very concerned about the population growth in Israel. He stated many concerning points about their environment and overpopulation. Israel is going through a maijor population growth and they are going to have to do something about it soon before it's too late. Their environment is suffering because the more people the less habitats for the animals, it's causing unemployment, and limited resources like food and water. Overall though Israel is going through a maijor crisis and they need to start changing their policies soon.
