Students enrolled in Current Events collect data on a daily basis in order to better understand the world.  The assignments focus on economics, politics, religion, culture, and environmental issues.  We will research, analyze, and assess the significance of quality news materials.  To be successful in this course, a student must engage and participate in the class activities.

Point System
Test= 30 pts
Quiz= 15pts
Project= 15-30pts
Class assignment= 5-10pts
Bell Work= 2-5pts
* May vary according to pace of course.  There will likely be more class assignments, bell work, and projects due to the steady stream of news each week.
